South Asian Journo Talk
Join the South Asian Journo Talk Signal group here! This group is for journalists in South Asia or of South Asian descent who want to do journalism in the region. The goal is to share space with other journos who might be on a similar journey as you, facing similar roadblocks, frustrations, and challenges, or celebrating similar victories and wins. Journalism can feel isolating sometimes, but it doesn’t have to be.
-You have to be a journalist from and/or in South Asia reporting in the region.
-The group is for journalists/aspiring journalists only; not writers, communications/marketing and/or public relations folks.
-The group is for folks with less than 2 years of experience. However, if you need this network and support, text me, and I’ll add you!
-This is not a job opportunity or a hiring call! Just a community group to share/vent/discuss.
-I will aim to hold monthly discussions/workshops for beginner journalists on various journalism topics if there is enough interest. We will come up with topics to discuss together!
-As usual, be respectful, hold space for others, and feel free to let me know if there are other journos you want to add to the group.
Before joining, message me on Signal with a short, sweet intro. Once added, please introduce yourself to the group, too.
You can also book a time to meet with me separately if you have questions about journalism, freelancing in the journalism world, or applying for a journalism degree, or if you just want to chat!
